In exactly 5 days, we will fly to West Africa. And as I already told you in my article on the shampoo, my hair is long. And in addition of being long, it is thick, not very disciplined (you blow on it, it makes 40 knots) and dru (but still, they are beautiful my hair, I very much like it). So, there are several issues on the table (or should I say on our heads).
- Those who already had long hair will understand: when it is hot outside, let’s be honest, it is super boring. It makes you even warmer, it tangles for nothing, a little humidity and here you go, you are ready to be the 6th Jackson Five. Well, boring.
- In your suitcase, you have to take: a hairbrush, a shampoo, a conditioner, a hairmask, a hair serum, etc. Ok, I never took all those on a trip. But still.
- And, last but not least, when it is long like mine, you need liters and liters to wash it and rince it properly. And water is a natural limited ressource that can be a rare commodity. So use the annual reserve to shampoo your hair is not really the best thing to do…
It is this third point that convinced me. And convincing me on this is a hard thing to do because when it’s been 5 or 6 years that you are working hard to make your hair grows, it’s a pretty hard decision to cut them short…
But voila, for our departure in Africa, it’s decided, Him and I will cut our hairs for an ecological matter!
And you, are you ready to do the same?
A little bonus and because as we say, an image is worth a thousand words, a little before/after:
